Where we’re going

While I never speak about it to anyone besides mentioning it with Amber a few times, I often search for images of Richmond and Vancouver, while another tab would have the map of the Lower Mainland opened. While I look through those photos, I imagine all of the things I could do with my wife, the places we will go to, the different cafes and restaurants we will visit, the road trips we may take, etc. Honestly, this is a dream come true. What makes a hero?

People normally associate firefighters, war veterans and doctors as heroes. Their jobs are often high stress and has something to do with saving lives. However is saving lives through direct physical danger, the only thing befitting of what is considered a hero? What about single parents that do their best for their children? What about teachers, nurses and counselors who have spent a large portion of their lives helping people beyond the numbers of their salaries? What about artists and athletes that have made a positive impact on other people? [Read More…]

What is love?

Previously, I spoke about insecurity, controlling behavior and a lovesick attitude towards life. If you’re interested, you can read about it here: http://leemanism.com/love-relationships/insecure-controlling-and-lovesick. Today, I would like to expand on what I said there about what love is. Truly, many people assign one variable to what they think love is and then push that definition onto others. Some of those same people further define that true love is when two people are constantly head over heels with each other, without a dent in their relationship, that love is the be all and end all of all that is life. They [Read More…]

Insecure, Controlling and Lovesick

At one point or another, you or someone you know probably have met someone who had controlling tendencies. Indeed, there are various levels of control, but the ones I’m talking about are the ones that dictate who you can see, who you can be friends with, what sort of things you’re allowed to do and warn you what sort of consequences you’re going to have if you do not meet any of the things they put forth on you. Before you keep reading, here’s a few words of advice: STAY AWAY FROM PEOPLE LIKE THAT. However, worded advice alone really [Read More…]

10 Years of Leemanism

Prior to this post, you may have read “The First Born”. If you’ve been a visitor of my blog earlier than January 1st, 2016, then you would know that this blog once held over 400 blog entries. If you were here since the very beginning, 2006 April 1st, then you would have known that this blog had at one time peaked around 670 blog entries. The reason it went down was because over the years, I despised the political and religious stuff that I posted. I felt that they became stains of my ‘private space’. Then as time went on, [Read More…]

The First Born

Being the first born of the first born of the first born comes with it, a lot of unwritten and unsaid burden. This photo is undated, but I surmise it was taken when I was barely a year old. That would make this photo within 1980 or early 1981. I’m the one in yellow. ;) That’s my grandfather and my grandmother on my father’s side. Look at the big genuine smiles on their faces. One would not think much beyond the immediacy of this photo, that my grandparents would be so happy to see their grandchild being happy, healthy and [Read More…]

Another step closer

Earlier today, Amber went to the post office and sent the Immigration Application to Mississauga in Ontario. It cost about 52 Euros for a Premium postal service which includes tracking and insurance up to $500. They said it will arrive between 5-7 days. So that means by next Thursday, the Immigration Office should receive it. Once they get it, it should take about 30 to 55 days for them to see if I am eligible as a sponsor. I should be because I am 100% eligible based on the questions I had to answer. No criminal history, not on welfare, [Read More…]

Rudi

Awhile ago, Sam posted a Youtube video of a song called “Bronte” by Gotye. It’s about a dog that needs to be put down and the family that has to let him/her go. The lyrics for the second verse goes like this: Since the day we found you You have been our friend And your voice still Echoes in the hallway of this house But now It’s the end There is so much I need to say, but it’s not coming out. You know, I have never owned a pet beyond my childhood and even then, the rabbit we had, [Read More…]

The Monarchy of Canada’s Right to Exist

Yesterday, Luna sent me a message about why I think the monarchy should continue to exist in Canada. Though her exact words were: “What do you think is the true purpose of sovereignty?” Since I moved my previous posts to another site, coinciding topics of politics, society and religion, I figured I take this chance to make a more eloquent post about why I think the sovereignty of Canada should continue to exist here. The following is my response to her message. To give you something to think about for now, I’ll give you my take on the sovereign and [Read More…]

Shapes of the social machine

A 14 year old boy recently posted on a forum about how everyone feels about the line drawn for friendships between adults and children. His original post was: People say there should be a line drawn when it comes to kids being friends with adults. Let’s just get something straight shall we. Age is there to say how long someone has been alive for, what age someone dies and also for legal reasons such as cigarettes, alcohol, weapons, and what age people can do stuff such as work, join the army, participate in sexual activity, and so on. Age is [Read More…]

Connecting us together

Recently, one of my friends posted up his insight on mobile technology coinciding some of the things he has read from various people on Social Media. He brings up a good point about mobile technology being an excellent tool to connect people together and that the blame of over usage should not blame technology, but in my opinion, on the attitude and behavior of those doing the blaming. Below is the post made by Sam Odell: I’ve seen a lot of people on facebook posting their feelings about cell phones, and smart phones, and ipads, and stuff. Feelings of disdain, [Read More…]

Anywhere but here

The first part of my entire dream sequence is nearly completely gone from my memory, except that it had something to do with Star Wars’ imperial naval pilots, TIE fighters, me being one of them, the scattering of the old empire and the warlords consolidating their holdings. It did not feel like a silly dream. It felt real and had a serious tone. The clearest thing I remember from that part of the dream is a large red nebula in the centre of the view and something was in the middle of that. The last part or near the last [Read More…]

Curvy and delicious (revised)

The majority of past intimate encounters, lovers and companions were short petite women. Most of them had proportionately baseball-sized boobs, fantastically shaped asses and fit legs due to the dancing they loved to do. So I did not have much of an idea of what I liked because all of the women up to that point were fit, petite Asian women. When my relationship with Cindy ended in March 2006, I had an explosion of meetups with new people. My endless desire to start new circles, integrate new people into old circles and help myself to the world beyond the [Read More…]

Their separate journeys

The skies were blue, clear blue with not a cloud in it. Mountains were in the distance, familiar yet foreign. To me, they were paintings I could not touch and only see. I stood back down from the seven inch wall heater and looked away from the window. As I made my way out of the bathroom, I heard someone mumbling downstairs amidst the sound of the television. My father was in the family room, watching television, while my mother was cooking dinner. All that was on my mind was how nice the blue skies were and what laid beyond [Read More…]

Mah Mee Ya

“Mah Mee Ya” is what I call my mom. Sometimes, I call her “Mah Mee”, but I normally don’t because it sounds a bit childish to me, even though I am still a child in many ways. The most common thing I hear my friends or anyone say is “Mom” or “Ma”. My wife thinks that it’s cute that I call my mom “Mah Mee Ya” and wants to call her that one day as well. I smiled when she told me that, but there is also a part of me that is sad. Life is like a very rocky [Read More…]

The Last Kiss (revised)

The first time I reacted in a pleasurable way, was when I was five years old. When I became aware of my sexuality, I was about eight. The babysitter’s younger daughter was at least a couple of years older than me and was the one who showed me what sex was about. As my visits to the babysitter happened more frequently, so did the sexual experiences I had with the daughter. When she came home from school, she would bring me to her room and play doctor or act out a scene of a movie that she made up in [Read More…]

Ch1: Voices – October 18, 1997

Surfing through the net, I suddenly had an urge to load a picture of Noriko Sakai, a famous Japanese singer in Japan. Anyway, I might as well tell you, I edited the picture to a highpass, exposed foreground. Very beautiful, both person and image enhancement. Anyways everytime I’m extremely bored, I would listen to one my compositions or someone elses compo’s. Compos are music composed on the computer using any format: WAV, MID, MOD, IT, XM, S3M, ST3, MTM, 669, FAR, ROL, SND, etc. Okay, so I’m surfing the net, at the same time looking at Noriko Sakai in color [Read More…]
